Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2025: Apply Now For 140 Assistant Commandant Vacancies
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG), operating under the Ministry of Defence, has announced a recruitment drive for the position of Assistant Commandant, a Group 'A' Gazetted Officer role, according to the NDTV report. This initiative aims to fill 140 vacancies across the General Duty (GD) and Technical branches.

Recruitment Process
The selection will be based on an all-India merit list, determined by candidates' performance across five examination stages (I - V). These stages include written tests, physical assessments, interviews, and document verification.
As per the official notification:
"Clearing Stages I, II, III, IV, and V is compulsory for recruitment in the ICG. All candidates will undergo biometric verification, photo identification, and document verification during various stages."
Salary Structure
The Indian Coast Guard offers an attractive salary package for Assistant Commandants and upward positions:
Assistant Commandant: Rs 56,100
Deputy Commandant: Rs 67,700
Commandant (JG): Rs 78,800
Commandant: Rs 1,23,100
Deputy Inspector General: Rs 1,31,100
Inspector General: Rs 1,44,200
Additional Director General: Rs 1,82,200
Director General: Rs 2,05,400
Examination Fee
Candidates must pay an application fee of Rs 300, except for SC/ST applicants, who are exempted. Payments can be made through net banking, credit/debit cards, or UPI.
