Indian Army's 'MULE' Robotic Dogs 'Sanjay' Steal Show At Kolkata's Republic Day Parade | WATCH
The Indian Army's robotic dogs, known as 'MULE' (Multi Utility Legged Equipment), captured attention during the Republic Day parade in Kolkata on Sunday.
Named 'Sanjay', the MULE is an all-weather ground robotic dog capable of climbing stairs, navigating steep inclines, and crossing obstacles.

According to the Indian Army, the MULE is designed for a variety of operations, including perimeter security, asset protection, and scenarios involving chemical, biological, and nuclear warfare.
It can also be deployed for explosives detection and disposal, intelligence gathering, and surveillance activities.
The robotic dogs can carry up to 15 kilograms of payload and operate in extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 55°C. Officials stated that the Indian Army has so far inducted 100 robotic dogs across various units.
West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose raised the national flag at Red Road in Kolkata earlier in the morning. This was followed by a parade led by Naib Subedar Rajneesh.
The parade featured contingents from the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, West Bengal Police, Kolkata Police, Rapid Action Force, and Disaster Management Group. School students also participated in the event, performing cultural dances. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee was in attendance.

West Bengal's tableau at the Republic Day parade in Delhi showcased the state's 'Lakshmir Bhandar' scheme, which provides a guaranteed monthly income to women. It also highlighted the 'Lok Prasar Prakalpa' initiative, celebrating the state's cultural heritage, architectural brilliance, and artistic traditions.
At the forefront of the tableau was a 'Durga' idol, accompanied by Chhau dancers performing alongside.
The grand Republic Day parade in the capital was attended by President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and other senior dignitaries. Indonesia's President Prabowo Subianto was the chief guest for the event.
