India and Singapore Enhance Defence Cooperation and Explore New Industry Collaborations

India and Singapore have decided to enhance their defence collaboration, focusing on industry cooperation in areas like automation and artificial intelligence. This decision was made during the sixth India-Singapore Defence Ministerial Dialogue, co-chaired by India's Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Singapore's Defence Minister Ng Eng Hen. Defence Cooperation and Joint Military Training

The ministers agreed to extend the bilateral agreement on Joint Military Training Army for another five years. This extension highlights the strong defence ties between the two nations, which are based on a mutual interest in regional peace, stability, and security. The dialogue is significant as it coincides with a decade of India's Act East policy, where Singapore has been pivotal in fostering economic cooperation and strategic connectivity.
