India's oldest woman Kunjannam passes away in Kerala
Thrissur, March 25: 112-year-old Kunjannam, the oldest woman in the country died at a private hospital in Kerala on Tuesday.
Hailing from Thrissur, the cultural capital of Kerala, Rosa alias Kunjannam was named in the latest Limca Book of Records as the oldest living woman in India.

Kunjannam was admitted to a hospital due to age related illness on Monday.
She was born on May 12, 1903.
She left the world when all her relatives and well-wishers were planning to organise a big birthday party for her on May 12.
Kunjannam is the second oldest woman in the world after a Japanese woman who is 114 year old.
She lost her parents when she was a child. Kunjanam was the 11th daughter of Vazhapally Antony-Achunny couple.
Kunjannam, who hailed from a poor family was employed as a servant for about 50 years.
When all her other siblings died, she became alone in the world. However, the old woman looked healthy even after stepped up 100. She always had vegetarian food and used to go for walk regularly.
Her health condition including vision, hearing, speech and even memory were fine till couple of days back.
