BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi Advocates for Pride in Heritage to Achieve National Development

During a recent event at Jiwaji University, BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi urged Indians to shed a mindset of subservience and embrace their rich cultural legacy. He emphasised that this shift is crucial for India to become a developed nation. Trivedi highlighted the unique aspects of the Indian education system, which he believes offers not only knowledge but also values and cultural teachings.

Trivedi Calls for Pride in Indian Heritage

Trivedi contrasted the Indian education system with the Western model, stating that the latter focuses solely on imparting knowledge. He argued that India's approach includes 'deeksha' and 'sanskar', which are essential for holistic development. "Hence, to make India a developed country, we must discard our mentality of slavery and be proud of our glorious heritage," he added.

Indians in Global Leadership

Discussing the global achievements of Indians, Trivedi noted that approximately 80% of the one lakh high-skilled worker visas issued annually by the US go to Indians. He pointed out that Indians now lead major corporations like Google and Microsoft, showcasing their global influence and leadership capabilities.

Without directly naming Pakistan, Trivedi remarked on a region that separated from India years ago. He mentioned that this area is now facing severe economic challenges and its citizens are involved in terrorist activities rather than leading multinational companies.

Women's Rights and Economic Comparisons

Trivedi criticised Western nations for lecturing India on women's empowerment, noting that women in Europe received rights much later than in India. He also compared Bangladesh and Pakistan, highlighting how Bangladesh was economically ahead until recent political changes led to instability.

He explained that Bangladesh's progress was halted when Jamaat-e-Islami and the Army took power, toppling Sheikh Hasina's government. This shift has negatively impacted Bangladesh's GDP and per capita income over the past six months.

India's Digital Leadership

Trivedi praised India's position as a leader in digital transactions globally. He stated that India accounts for 46% of digital payments worldwide, underscoring the country's significant role in the digital economy.

The remarks made by Trivedi reflect his views on India's potential and current standing in various sectors. His emphasis on cultural pride and economic achievements aims to inspire confidence among Indians about their nation's future prospects.
