India Elevates 25 Crore Out of Poverty in a Decade with PM Modi at the Helm

At a recent election rally in Lucknow, Defence Minister and BJP Lok Sabha candidate Rajnath Singh highlighted India's enhanced global stature under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership. Singh, the incumbent MP from Lucknow, emphasized the significant reduction in poverty, with 25 crore people lifted above the poverty line in the last decade. He contrasted this achievement with past governments' unsuccessful attempts to eradicate poverty.

Singh also touched upon India's perceived position on the global stage, noting a shift in how the country's viewpoints are received internationally. This change, according to Singh, marks a departure from earlier times when India's perspectives were not taken as seriously.

The Defence Minister recounted a recent instance during the Ukraine-Russia conflict where Prime Minister Modi's intervention facilitated a temporary ceasefire, allowing Indian students to return safely. This act was presented as evidence of Modi's influential leadership on the world stage.

Discussing domestic politics, Singh praised the BJP's vision for India, not just as a quest for governmental power but as a commitment to nation-building. He advocated for simultaneous assembly and Lok Sabha elections across India, a goal he believes will be realized within five years.

With confidence in the BJP's growing influence, both nationally and globally, Singh predicted the party would surpass 400 Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming elections. Lucknow is set to vote on May 20, alongside 13 other constituencies in Uttar Pradesh during the fifth phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

Earlier, at a Samrasta Kaaryakram event, Singh paid homage to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's unifying role in post-independence India. He credited Patel with achieving 'Ek Bharat' and highlighted Modi's tribute to Patel through the construction of the world's tallest statue, funded by contributions from across India.

In his concluding remarks, Singh acknowledged the contributions of all Indian governments since independence towards national development. However, he asserted that the pace and scale of development under Prime Minister Modi's leadership have been unparalleled.
