India Post GDS Recruitment 2025: 21,413 Vacancies Announced – No Exam, Direct Selection Based On 10th Marks
India Post has released a recruitment notification for 21,413 vacancies for the post of Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS), according to a Jagran Josh report. Candidates can apply online at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in from February 10 to March 8. The correction window will be open from March 6 to 8.

The vacancies are available across 23 postal circles, including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, North East, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Bengal.
Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of vacancies, followed by Tamil Nadu.

Candidates from the General (UR) category are required to pay an application fee of Rs. 100. However, there is no fee for SC, ST, female, transwomen, and PWD candidates.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and should not be older than 40 years.
For educational qualifications, candidates must have passed Class 10 with Mathematics and English from a recognised board. They should have studied the local language up to Class 10. Basic computer knowledge is required, along with knowledge of cycling. Candidates must also have an adequate means of livelihood.
India Post GDS Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
The selection will be based on a system-generated merit list prepared from Class 10 marks, converted to percentages up to four decimal places. There will be no examination for this recruitment. Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification. If required, candidates must pass a basic medical fitness test.

4. They are required to pay the application fee online through debit/credit card or net banking.
5. Finally, candidates should submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
