India Post GDS Merit List 2024 Released; Check Result, Key Dates & Next Steps After Selection Here
India Post has released the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Merit List 2024 for 12 circles, including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and West Bengal. For the remaining circles, such as Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh, the merit list will be released shortly on the same website.
The merit list is available on the official website, indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. Candidates who have applied for the GDS positions in these circles can now check their results online.

The India Post Office has informed the shortlisted candidates about their selection through SMS and email on their registered mobile numbers and email addresses. These candidates are required to undergo a document verification process to confirm their eligibility for the positions. The deadline for document verification is set for September 3.
Candidates attending the document verification process must bring the following documents in original, along with two sets of self-attested photocopies: marks sheet, identity proof, caste certificate, PWD certificate (if applicable), EWS certificate, transgender certificate (if applicable), date of birth proof, and a medical certificate issued by a government medical officer.
Additionally, candidates selected for engagement in Arunachal Pradesh must provide a certificate from the competent authority regarding their knowledge of tribal or local dialects.
India Post is conducting this recruitment drive to fill 44,228 Gramin Dak Sevak vacancies across 23 circles in the country. The shortlisted candidates will be appointed as Branch Postmasters (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmasters (ABPM), or Dak Sevaks in various offices of the Department of Posts.
This recruitment process is a significant opportunity for candidates seeking government jobs in the postal department, providing them with a stable and respected position.
