Lok Sabha Election 2024 Results Highlights: NDA Wins 293 Seats; Modi Set To Become PM For Third Time

India Lok Sabha Election Results 2024 Highlights:

The Union cabinet, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, recommended the dissolution of the 17th Lok Sabha after the general election results. President Droupadi Murmu accepted Modi's resignation and requested him and his ministers to continue until the new government forms.

The current term ends on June 16, marking a crucial phase in India's democratic process. With BJP securing 240 seats and NDA having a clear majority, they are set to form the next government. Key NDA leaders met to discuss government formation, with the oath-taking ceremony expected soon.

Allies like TDP and JD(U) are anticipated to negotiate for key portfolios, crucial for a stable administration. As Modi gears up for a third term, the new government's composition is likely to include BJP's allies, reflecting a more significant role for coalition dynamics.
