India Junks Pakistan’s Claim Of Destroying S-400, Calls Out Islamabad's Misinformation Barrage
India firmly rejected Pakistan's claims on Saturday that its JF-17 fighter jets had damaged the country's air defence system, including the advanced S-400, as tensions between the two nations simmered following Operation Sindoor.
At a Defence Ministry press briefing after the ceasefire announcement, Colonel Sofiya Qureshi said, "Pakistan has asserted that its JF-17 aircraft struck and damaged our S-400 and BrahMos missile base. This is entirely untrue."

The Ministry also dismissed a series of other allegations made by Islamabad regarding Indian military installations and actions, calling them part of a coordinated misinformation campaign.
"Pakistan also falsely claimed that it had inflicted damage on our airbases in Sirsa, Jammu, Pathankot, Bhatinda, Nalia and Bhuj. These claims are completely unfounded," Colonel Qureshi added.
On Alleged Damage to Ammunition Depots
"Pakistan further alleged that our ammunition depots in Chandigarh and Vyas were hit. This, too, is false and baseless."
On Allegation of Mosque Attacks by Army
"Pakistan accused the Indian Army of damaging mosques. I wish to state categorically that India is a secular nation, and our armed forces are a proud embodiment of our constitutional values," she said.
India and Pakistan declared a ceasefire on Saturday, bringing an end to several days of cross-border hostilities that followed the terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
Government officials confirmed that the ceasefire was the result of direct dialogue between the two nations. Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) initiated a call earlier in the day, during which both sides held discussions and reached an agreement.
