India Wins T20 World Cup

Prime Minister Modi took to X soon after India's thrilling victory over South Africa on Saturday night. He said, "CHAMPIONS! Our team brings the T20 World Cup home in STYLE! We are proud of the Indian Cricket Team." He described the match as historic and noted that over 140 crore Indians are proud of the team's performance.

Leaders Celebrate India's Victory

President Murmu congratulated Team India for their extraordinary victory. She said, "My heartiest congratulations to Team India for winning the T20 World Cup. With the never-say-die spirit, the team sailed through difficult situations and demonstrated outstanding skills throughout the tournament. It was an extraordinary victory in the final match. Well done, Team."

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also extended his congratulations. He said, "Surya, what a brilliant catch! Rohit, this win is a testament to your leadership. Rahul, I know team India will miss your guidance." He praised coach Rahul Dravid, captain Rohit Sharma, and cricketer Surya Kumar Yadav for their contributions.

Union Ministers Applaud Team Effort

Union Minister Amit Shah called it a glorious moment for the nation. He said, "The players put up a stellar performance throughout the tournament with unmatched team spirit and sportsmanship." Defence Minister Rajnath Singh added that the victory would inspire many upcoming cricketers and sportspersons.

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju highlighted the team's relentless spirit and remarkable skill. He said on X, "Thank you for inspiring millions & showcasing the true spirit of sportsmanship!" Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also expressed his pride in the team's performance.

Corporate Leaders and Celebrities Join In

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella congratulated India on winning the title. He posted on X, "What a final!!! Congrats, India, and well played, South Africa. Super World Cup... let us have more cricket in the West Indies and USA!!" Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai also praised India's win.

Pichai said on X, "What a game, could barely breathe, everything that makes sports incredible. Congrats India, so well deserved! SA was incredible. Amazing." Actors Ajay Devgn, Raveena Tandon, Anil Kapoor, and Abhishek Bachchan shared their joy on social media as well.

Ajay Devgn expressed his happiness by saying, "Words can't describe the joy! Congratulations Team India, you've made history! This victory is etched in our hearts." US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti also congratulated the men in blue.

A Historic Win

India's 11-year wait for a global title ended with this victory. The star-studded team outwitted South Africa by seven runs in a see-saw final that went down to the wire in Bridgetown in Barbados on Saturday.
