INDIA Bloc Cancels Its First Public Rally In Bhopal, Shivraj Singh Chouhan Reacts

The first rally of the India Bloc that was supposed to take place in Bhopal in the first week of October has been cancelled. Congress leader Kamal Nath while addressing the media on Saturday confirmed that the rally has been cancelled.

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while taking a dig at the INDIA Bloc said people are angry over Sanatana Dharma remarks passed by Udhayanidhi Stalin that led to the cancellation of rally.

He said people of Madhya Pradesh will not bear derogative remarks about Sanatana Dharma. People are in rage of anger as their faith has been attacked. Hence they will not allow any rally by the INDIA Bloc.

He further said that the Congress Party is also confused and fighting over the photos on the posters ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

28 Opposition parties joined hands to form an alliance named INDIA to fight against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The alliance held its first coordination committee meeting at NCP leader Sharad Pawar's residence in Delhi to discuss seat-sharing agreement.

Meanwhile, joint rallies by the INDIA Bloc would kickstart from states like Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Bihar and Tamil Nadu where.

While addressing the media on Saturday in Bhopal, Kamal Nath and Surjewala said their party's state-wide 'Jan Akrosh Yatra', which translates to public anger march, will start on Ganesh Chaturthi, which is on September 19.

Reportedly, they will cover an area of 11,400 kilometres in all 230 assembly segments of Madhya Pradesh in 15 days. Senior leaders, including veteran Congress leader and leader of opposition (LoP) in the Madhya Pradesh assembly Dr Govind Singh are set to lead the yatra.
