India AI Impact Summit and Expo 2026: Bihar Emerging as the Tech Hub of Eastern India

Bihar participates prominently at the India AI Impact Summit and Expo 2026, unveiling its GCC and Semiconductor policies while hosting a dedicated pavilion. The event, featuring participation from OpenAI and global tech leaders, aims to boost Bihar's tech ecosystem, attract investment, and connect startups with international investors over five days.

The India AI Impact Summit and Expo 2026 will be held from 16 to 20 Februaryat Bharat Mandapam, located at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. Bihar's strong participation with a dedicated state pavilion at the summithas sent a clear message that the state is steadily progressing towardsbecoming the tech hub of eastern India. Recently, the Bihar governmentapproved the Bihar GCC Policy, 2026 and the Bihar Semiconductor Policy,2026, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening the technology andinnovation ecosystem.

The Bihar Pavilion will be inaugurated on Tuesday by Deputy Chief MinisterSamrat Choudhary. Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh (Lalan Singh),representing the Ministry of Panchayati Raj and the Ministry of Fisheries,Animal Husbandry and Dairying, will attend as the Chief Guest. The programmewill be chaired by Union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh, with Members ofParliament from Bihar and other dignitaries also present.

The Bihar Pavilion has been set up in Hall 5-F of Bharat Mandapam at StallNumbers 8 and 12. The pavilion's overall management is being supervised byAbhay Kumar Singh, Secretary of the Information Technology Department,Government of Bihar, along with Special Secretary Arvind Kumar Choudhary.

During the summit, the Bihar government is expected to make keyannouncements regarding ambitious policies, missions and major projectsfocused on promoting innovation, generating employment and strengthening thestate's technology ecosystem.

Leading global companies associated with artificial intelligence willparticipate in the event. Confirmed participation from over 100 countrieshighlights the summit's international scale. Major technology firms,including OpenAI, along with senior executives from global tech companies,are part of the five-day event. The primary objective of the summit is to bring together stakeholders fromacross the AI ecosystem on a single platform and foster collaboration.

Startups, entrepreneurs and innovators from Bihar will receive a significantopportunity to showcase their capabilities and innovations to theinternational tech community. The Department of Information Technology,Government of Bihar, has provided complimentary stalls to selectedparticipants, enabling them to gain global exposure.

Special sessions will also be organized to connect startups with investors.Over the five days, multiple discussions and sessions focusing on artificialintelligence and its transformative impact are scheduled to take place.
