Income Tax Department Hiring 2025: Apply For Data Processing Assistant Posts With Salaries Up To Rs 1.42 Lakh

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has invited applications for the recruitment of Data Processing Assistants in the Income Tax Department on a deputation basis, according to an NDTV report. These posts belong to the General Central Services Group 'B' Gazetted, Non-Ministerial cadre.

Eligibility And Application Process

Interested candidates can download the application form from the official website, incometaxindia.gov.in. The recruitment drive is open for 8 vacancies, with the exam scheduled to take place in Delhi, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Kanpur, Chandigarh, Kolkata, and Chennai.

Candidates are required to submit a completed application in the prescribed Proforma, along with:

1. Attested copies of their Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs) for the past five years.
2. Cadre clearance, Integrity Certificate, and Vigilance Clearance Certificate.
3. A statement detailing any major or minor penalties imposed over the last ten years.

Applications must be routed through the proper channel and addressed to the Directorate of Income Tax (Systems), CBDT, Ground Floor, E2, ARA Centre, Jhandewalan Extension, New Delhi.

Pay Scale And Age Limit

Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from Rs 44,900 to Rs 1,42,400. Applicants should not exceed 56 years of age as of the application closing date.

Important Considerations

As per the rules, officers in the feeder category who qualify for direct promotion within the department will not be eligible for deputation. Likewise, individuals on deputation are not eligible for promotion.
