In Popularity, PM Modi Maintains Vantage Over Other World Leaders
Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains the world's most popular leader for the third time in a row with an approval rating of 75 per cent. This was revealed in a Global Leader Approval Ratings released by a US-based consulting firm 'Morning Consult'. Swiss President Alain Berset stands at second position followed by Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
In the approval rating, US President Joe Biden is placed at the 8th position while UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is at the 13 position among 22 world leaders. The latest approval ratings are based on data collected from the 7th to the 13th of this month. It is based on a seven-day moving average of adult residents in each country, with sample sizes varying by country.

In the earlier ratings too, PM Modi had topped the ranking. His consistent high approval ratings reflect his enduring popularity among the Indian populace. The accomplishments and policies of his government resonate positively with a significant majority of the population, solidifying his position as a highly regarded leader on the global stage.
While these approval ratings provide an insight into public sentiment towards world leaders, it is important to acknowledge that public opinion can fluctuate over time, influenced by a multitude of factors. Nonetheless, PM Modi's continued strong performance in these ratings highlights the widespread support he enjoys both domestically and internationally, reports Free Press Journal.

This also illustrates one of the most remarkable developments in global politics. Over the past nine years, the BJP, the party led by him, has emerged as India's largest party in two general elections and dozens of State polls. The party controls almost half of the country's 28 States under his leadership.
In general elections, it seems nonetheless to have a lock on power, for the next five years and probably more, thanks to the popularity of Narendra Modi. With an approval rating of 75%, the Prime Minister is more than twice as popular as his party. He is by far the world's most popular elected leader, according to the Economist.
The last time the firm Morning Consult had conducted the global leader approval tracking survey was at the beginning of this year. Then too, PM Modi had the same approval rating of 75% and was much ahead of his peers across the world.
