New Delhi, Jan 30: The Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) general secretary Vaiko met the BJP president Rajnath Singh on Thursday in the national capital Delhi to firm up the alliance further.

After the meeting, Rajnath Singh tweeted, "Had a meeting with MDMK leader Shri Vaiko today. We had a fruitful discussion on the 2014 General Elections."

"The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is going to win hands down. There is a Narendra Modi wave in the country", Vaiko said.

BJP has the power to dethrone the Congress: Vaiko

The two leaders reportedly discussed the strategy for the Lok Sabha elections 2014 which are due to be held in April-May.

Last Thursday, BJP and MDMK officially announced their alliance for the Lok Sabha polls.

Vaiko had said that only BJP has the power to dethrone the Congress.
