In Latest Round Of India-China Military Level Talks, Some Teething Issues Resolved
India and China discussed de-escalation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh during the Major-General level talks that were held at Daulat Beg Oldie.
The Major-Generals of India and China held discussions to resolve the ongoing conflict between the two countries. India and China are locked in a tense stand-off along the LAC since the past three years. The talks are crucial for both sides, which have been holding talks several times both on the diplomatic and military front, a source told OneIndia.

The last round of talks were held in the eastern secret of Ladakh, last month.
The Indian delegation was led by Lieutenant General Rashim Bali, an officer of the same rank led the talks from the Chinese side.
The meeting was closely watched as it took place in the wake of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Defence Ministers' meeting. Chinese defence minister, Li Shangfu had taken part in the meeting.

Both sides have increased infrastructure along the border in a bid to strengthen their respective positions.
During the meeting, the source said that both sides discussed de-escalation and issues at Depsang plains and Demochok. However an official word on the same is awaited.
Sources also said that the meeting was constructive and some of the issues that had cropped up during the talks could be resolved.
