In Key Party Meet, JD(U) Seeks 'Special Status' For Bihar
The Janata Dal United (JDU) has concluded its national executive meeting with several key resolutions.
The party, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has reiterated its long-standing demand for special state status for Bihar.

This resolution focuses on the economic and developmental disparities that necessitate such a status to foster the state's growth and progress.
"The demand for special state status for Bihar is not new. It is a crucial step towards accelerating Bihar's growth trajectory and addressing the state's unique challenges," a senior JD(U) leader said.
Another important point in the resolution is the safeguarding of Bihar's reservation quota, which was recently increased to 65%, reported NDTV. The JD(U) has proposed that this quota be included in the Ninth Schedule of the Constitution to protect it from judicial review and ensure its continuous implementation without legal hindrances.
JD(U) also expressed grave concerns over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination, calling for a comprehensive investigation into the matter to address and rectify any discrepancies.
"It is imperative to restore the credibility of such crucial examinations and uphold the trust of students and parents in the fairness of the process," the leader added.
