"The studio will be ready in 15 days. We decided to build the studio after receiving complaints from many who interview the chief minister that there were audio problems. This will be a soundproof room with professionals taking care of lighting and acoustics," said an official from the CMO.

In the run-up to the 2018 assembly elections, the studio is expected to be used to shoot statements of the chief minister on government schemes for promotional purposes. While the officials maintain that the chief minister can also engage with officers across the state through video conferencing from the studio, its primary purpose is said to be to create a positive image of the chief minister in the few months ahead of assembly polls through media interaction and advertisements.

The studio will come up on a 20x30 plot inside the CM's official residence and will have the state of the art acoustic and lighting arrangement. Relaying of CM's message on important days will also be one of the purposes of the studio.
