Rahul may cancel Saharanpur rally
Saharanpur (UP), March 29: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi may call off his rally in Saharanpur after party leader Imran Masood was arrested late last night for delivering hate speech against BJP prime ministrial candidate Narendra Modi.

In the video that has gone viral, the leader was seen saying that he would chop Modi into pieces. He had also said that Uttar Pradesh was not Gujarat with just 2% muslims. UP had 22% Muslims.

Meanwhile, condemning Masood's language, Congress leader Raj Babbar said,"I condemn the use of such language. This is a very unpleasant situation, where such words were used to threaten an anarchist."

Immediately after the video surfaced, the Election Commission sought the details of the speech. The SDM was asked to submit the video of the speech and a case was registered against Masood.

However, Masood remained defiant and said that he would apologise only when Modi apologised for the Gujarat riots in 2002. He defended himself, saying,"By saying I will cut Modi to pieces, I meant I will teach him a lesson. Moreover, I said that 8 months ago when I was a member of the Samajwadi Party."
