IIT JEE Result 2016: Meet Tanmaya Shekhawat who got BMW as reward

New Delhi, June 14: Topper of IIT-Joint Entrance Exam (Advanced), Tanmaya Shekhawat who secured 11th rank in entrance exam, has received a BMW car as gift.

Reportedly the director of a coaching institute rewarded Tanmaya with the car for securing such a good rank in IIT exam, which is considered as one of the toughest exam in India.

Media reports say that prior to exam, director of Samarpan coaching institute Dr RL Poonia had announced that he will gift his car to student who secures less than 20th rank in competetive exam. He had made announcement to encourage students to do well in exam.

After the results announcement, when Poonia came to know that Tanmaya got 11 th rank, he kept his words and handed over vehicle which is worth Rs 27.5 lakhs to Tanmaya.

Poonia had bought dazzling BMW 1-series two years ago.
