IIM Bangalore Tops QS MBA Rankings 2024 In India; 10 More In Global List
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore has secured the top position in India in the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings (WUR) for Global MBA and Business Master's in 2024, ranking 48th globally.
The Wharton School and Harvard Business School were ranked second and third, respectively, on the global list. Notably, ten Indian MBA colleges earned positions among the top 250 institutes in Asia.

In the QS Global Full-Time MBA Rankings, IIM Bangalore showed significant improvement, moving from 50th place in the 2023 rankings to 48th in 2024. IIM Calcutta got the 59th position while IIM Ahmedabad claimed the 53rd spot.
Two Indian MBA colleges were among the top 50 globally for employability. IIM Bangalore ranked 39th globally and fourth in Asia, while IIM Calcutta was placed 46th worldwide and seventh in Asia.
IIM Ahmedabad was positioned 33rd, making it the second-best in Asia, while The Indian School of Business secured the 43rd position becoming the fifth-best in Asia for alumni outcomes and entrepreneurship.
IIM Bangalore secured the 31st position in return on investment, making it the only Indian MBA institute in the top 50 in this category. Although not in the top 50 overall, it led the country in thought leadership, with an overall ranking of 57th.
Additionally, QS provides rankings for 28 specialized master's programmes in business, including fields such as marketing, business analytics, supply chain management, finance, and management (with 17 in supply chain management, five in finance, and three in management).
According to the QS World University Rankings, due to exceptional alumni outcomes where IIM Bangalore ranked 10th, it claimed the top spot for the Master in Management programme in India and secured the 31st position overall.
IIM Calcutta, positioned within the top 100, excelled as one of India's leading master's programmes in business analytics, earning a rank between 61 and 70 for this program. In addition, IIM Udaipur achieved a rank of 51 or higher for its master's program in supply chain management.
