IGNOU PhD Registration 2025: Deadline Extended, Apply Now Until This Date; Check Steps Inside

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the application deadline for its PhD programmes. Interested and eligible candidates can now submit their applications online until November 25. Applications can be made through the official website, ignouadm.samarth.edu.in.

• Visit the official website, ignouadm.samarth.edu.in.
• On the homepage, click on the 'New Registration' link.
• Complete the registration process by providing the necessary details.
• After registration, log in with the username and password given.
• Fill in your academic information and click 'Submit'.

IGNOU PhD 2025: Documents Required

• Scanned passport-sized photograph (under 100 KB)
• Scanned signature (under 100 KB)
• Supporting documents, such as proof of date of birth, mark sheets, degree certificates, caste certificate, income certificate, disability certificate, UGC NET-JRF certificate/UGC NET scorecard, etc. (under 500 KB)

IGNOU PhD 2025: Application Fee

Candidates must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 1,000.

IGNOU PhD 2025: Selection Process

Candidates with a valid UGC NET-JRF qualification will be invited for an interview, which will carry 100% weightage in the selection process, as per the University Grants Commission (UGC) Regulations, 2022. Admission to the PhD programmes is merit-based, and the final merit list will be compiled according to the UGC NET score and the Government of India's reservation policy.
