IBPS PO Mains Result Coming Soon: Check Steps To Download Scores From ibps.in & What’s Next After Results?
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducted the Probationary Officers (PO) Mains examination in November 2024. The results for this exam will be announced in January 2025, as mentioned in the IBPS PO 2024 exam notification, according to a Hindustan Times report.
Once the results are released, candidates can check their results on the official IBPS website at ibps.in. To view their results, candidates will need to enter their registration number or roll number along with their password or date of birth.

IBPS PO Mains Result: Steps To Download
1. Visit the official website, ibps.in.
2. Click on the CRP PO/MT tab, followed by "CRP Process Probationary Officers/Management Trainees XIV."
3. Open the Mains result/scorecard download link.
4. Enter your login credentials.
5. Submit and view your result.
6. Download and save the scorecard for future reference.
IBPS PO Mains: Exam Pattern
The IBPS PO Mains examination consisted of both objective and descriptive tests:
Objective tests (Total: 200 marks):
- Reasoning and Computer Aptitude: 45 questions, 60 marks, 60 minutes
- General/Economy/Banking Awareness: 40 questions, 40 marks, 35 minutes
- Data Analysis and Interpretation: 35 questions, 40 marks, 40 minutes
Descriptive test (Total: 25 marks):
- English Language - Letter Writing: Candidates were required to choose and attempt one out of three questions for 10 marks.
- English Language - Essay Writing: Candidates had to attempt one out of three questions for 15 marks.
- The total time allotted for the descriptive test was 25 minutes.
What happens after the Mains result is announced? Shortlisted candidates will be invited for the Interview round, which is tentatively scheduled for January/February 2025. The interviews will take place at select centres, with details such as the venue, time, and date mentioned in the admit card.
The interview round carries 100 marks, with a minimum qualifying score of 40 per cent (35% for SC, ST, OBC, and PwBD candidates). The weightage for the final allotment is 80% for the Mains exam and 20 per cent for the interview.
Candidates who fail to secure the minimum qualifying marks or are disqualified from the interview will not have their interview scores disclosed.
To be considered for provisional allotment, candidates must pass both the Online Main Exam and the interview and secure a sufficiently high merit score. The provisional allotment result will be announced in April 2025.
