IBPS Clerk Prelims 2024 Analysis: Easy Start For Candidates, See State-Wise Cut-Off Predictions

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is currently conducting the IBPS Clerk Preliminary Examination for the year 2024. The exam is scheduled for today, August 24, and is being held in four shifts, each lasting one hour.

According to the initial analysis provided by both students and experts, the first shift of the exam was reported to be relatively easy, with all three sections containing manageable questions.

IBPS Clerk Prelims 2024 Analysis

The IBPS Clerk Prelims Examination comprises three main subjects: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. Candidates are allocated 60 minutes to complete the entire exam. It is important to note that there is a negative marking system in place, where one-fourth of a mark is deducted for each incorrect answer.

IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam 2024 Analysis

In the first shift of the IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam 2024, conducted on August 24, the difficulty level was generally perceived as easy. The Reasoning Ability section had a difficulty level rated as easy, with a good attempt range between 26 and 30 questions.

Similarly, the Numerical Ability section was also considered easy, with candidates being able to attempt between 25 and 27 questions. The English Language section followed the same pattern, with a good attempt range of 21 to 23 questions. Overall, candidates found the paper easy, with a recommended good attempt range of 79 to 86 questions across all sections.

IBPS Clerk Prelims Exam 2024 Cut-Off

The IBPS releases the state-wise cut-off marks for various categories along with the results. These cut-off marks are crucial as they determine whether a candidate qualifies for the next stage of the selection process.

The cut-off marks for this year will be prepared after considering several parameters, including the number of candidates who appeared for the exam and the overall difficulty level of the paper. While the official cut-off for 2024 is yet to be released, candidates can refer to last year's cut-off marks for a rough estimate.
