IAS Officer Puja Khedkar's Mother Filmed Brandishing Firearm At Farmers In Old Video

The controversy surrounding 2023 batch IAS officer Puja Khedkar doesn't seem to be dying down. Now, an old video has surfaced showing the troubled IAS officer's mother, Manorama Khedkar, threatening a group of men with a gun.

In the video, Manorama is seen yelling at a man with a pocket pistol in her hand. She brandishes the gun in his face before concealing it when she notices a camera.

"Show me the satbara (land documents). The land documents have my name," she warns the man in Marathi. He replies that his name is on the land document and that the case is in court. She then demands to see the court order and warns the man not to "teach me the rules."

Puja Khedkar controversy

Among many things, trainee IAS officer Puja Khedkar is accused of posing as an OBC non-creamy layer candidate in her UPSC application and falsely claiming visual and mental disabilities, which she refused to substantiate through tests.

Her father, Dilip Khedkar, a retired IAS officer, is alleged to have amassed property worth crores of rupees, including 25 acres of land in Mulshi taluka of Pune district.

Locals allege that the family tried to occupy the land of neighbouring farmers, and when the farmers opposed, Manorama confronted them with her security guards.

Farmers claim they tried to file a complaint at Pune's Paud Police Station but were turned away. Additionally, Manorama reportedly owns two apartments in Ahmednagar and Pune worth Rs 45 lakh and Rs 75 lakh each.

Puja Khedkar is facing serious charges of "abuse of power," including using a red beacon, VIP number plates, and a "Government of Maharashtra" sticker on her private vehicle, an Audi sedan.

She also allegedly used Additional Collector Ajay More's office while he was away, removed office furniture, and demanded letterheads.

Amid the escalating row, Puja Khedkar has been transferred to Washim.
