IAF's UAV crashes in Barmer
Barmer (Raj), Jan 9: An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) of Indian Air Force on Friday crashed after developing an engine problem at Akoda village, 30 km north west of Barmer district in Rajasthan around 2 pm, a top IAF official said.
UAV-HERON which took off from Jaisalmer airbase, immediately developed problem in starting of engine and crashed on land after falling from height, Wing Commander S S Birdi, PRO-IAF Delhi told PTI over phone.

It was carrying qualified equipments and cameras. A court of inquiry has been ordered into the UAV crash, he said.
There was no damage to civil property and human life as the UAV fell on the open land.
