I&B ministry officials to hold talks with FTII students on Oct 7
New Delhi, Oct 6: As attempts are made to break the impasse at Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), another round of talks is set to take place between officials of the Union Information and Broadcasting ministry and agitating students on Wednesday.
According to officials the talks will be held on Wednesday in Mumbai and it is likely that Information and Broadcasting secretary Sunil Arora may participate in the discussions with students.

This will be the third time that the two sides would sit together in Mumbai after the students and the ministry decided to renew their dialogue.
In the earlier two meetings between the two sides, the ministry delegation was headed by a joint secretary.
The strike at FTII has been on for over hundred days after the name of actor Gajendra Chauhan was announced as the Chiarman of FTII council.
While the students have been demanding Chauhan's removal, the ministry has firmly backed his appointment.
