Hyderabad: Unable to pay school fee, class 9 student commits suicide

A student of class 9 allegedly committed suicide on Thursday in Malkajgiri district in Hyderabad after her school management refused to allow her take a school exam as she had not paid her school fee.

The incident took place at around 4.30 p.m., when she was alone in the house, police said.

According to victim's sister,''After returning from school my sister said mgmt pressurised and insulted her in front of everyone, she was fine. Later we went out and when we returned, we found her hanging. She wrote in a letter that school is not allowing her to take exam.''

Based on a complaint by victim's father, a case would be registered against the school management.
