Hyderabad: 3 from Kashmir arrested for not standing during National Anthem

Three persons from Kashmir were arrested in Hyderabad as they had not stood up for the National Anthem. A complaint was filed with the Rajendranagar police after the three men refused to stand for the National Anthem which was played before the screening of a movie.

According to P V Padmaja, Deputy Commissioner of Police P, Shamshabad zone, the three youngsters were at the CinePolis: Mantra mall to watch the 3.50 pm show of the Hindi movie Bareilly Ki Barfi. Before the beginning of the show, the National Anthem was played as mandated by the Supreme Court.
The Rajendranagar police received a complaint later in the evening from the management, after which a case was registered against the three men under Section 2 of the Prevention of Insult to National Honour Act.
