Hurry ! Jet Airways offers tickets at Rs 1,220 on selected routes

Bengaluru, Dec 5: Here is a good news - Jet Airways have slashed their ticket prices again. The airways has announced promotional fares as low as Rs 1,220 on select routes.

Its all inclusive fares on Bengaluru-Chennai route starts from Rs 1,220. The offer is valid on travel between December 10, 2014 and March 31, 2015.

Also, the airways has announced promotional fares of about Rs 1,600 on Bengaluru-Goa, Lucknow-Delhi and Ahmedabad-Mumbai routes.

Note, these offers are valid only on economy class travel.It was after the entry of Malaysia based AirAsia India, the airfare war in India began. AirAsia, which recently added Pune to its network, has been offering tickets low rates. On November 16 this year, AirAsia India offered promotional tickets starting as low as Rs 380 (all-inclusive) on travel dates between June 10, 2015 and January 17, 2016.

Now, AirAsia is also offering promotional fares as low as Rs 1290 in a limited period offer valid between January 5, 2015, and April 30, 2015.

Thr promotional offers have boosted air passenger traffic. An NDTV report says that passengers who travelled by domestic airlines during January to October 2014 were 5.5 crore as against 5.07 crore during the corresponding period of previous year, which is a growth of 8.61 per cent.
