AirAsia expands its services to Pune !

Pune, Nov 21: Relatively new-entrant in India, AirAsia India, has expanded its services to one more city and will now be flying to Pune.

The airlines, which has been leading the fare war that is going on in the airlines sector in the country, will have its presence in seven Indian cities now.

The airlines is also offering an introductory all-inclusive one-way fare of Rs 1499 from Bengaluru to Pune and vice versa, said an NDTV report. Now one can fly on Pune-Jaipur route with airasia for Rs 2999 (all-inclusive) !

The promotional offer is valid for travel between December 17 and January 17, 2015, said the report. Tickets can be booked till November 23, 2014.

AirAsia India is a joint venture between Malaysia-based AirAsia Berhad, Tata Group and Delhi-based investment firm Telestra Tradeplace. They launched operation in India on June 12, with services from Bangalore to Goa.

The entry of AirAsia in India had led to aggressive expansion and fare war in Indian airlines sector.

In September, the airline began its maiden operations outside south India with flights to Jaipur and Chandigarh. They had also announced that the airlines would start operations on the Mumbai route soon.

So far In India, AirAsia India was operating in the Bangalore to Kochi, Chennai, Chandigarh, Jaipur and Goa routes.
