Hurry! CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Application form 2016 available online

CBSE announces renewal of CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarships.

New Delhi, Nov 21: CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Application forms are available on the institute's website and offline. It will be accepting completed forms online applications till December 15, 2016.

The offline applications can be submitted by students on or before December 31, 2016. Students who have passed the Class 10 examinations in 2016 and who want to renew the last year's scholarships, provided they meet all the other eligibility criteria, can apply.

The main aim of the scholarship is to encourage meritorious Girl students and single children of their parents. They must have passed the CBSE Class X examination with a minimum of 60% / 6.2 CGPA and have enrolled themselves in Class XI and XII.

It also aims at encouraging parents who dupport girl's education. The short-listed students will be paid Rs 500 per month under the program. A scholarship awarded under the scheme shall be paid for a maximum period of two years and payments will be made through demand drafts/ECS.

NRI applicants for the board will also be considered. However, there will be a difference in the tuition fees. While Indian students will be given a fee of Rs 1,500 in Class X, NRI students will be given Rs 6,000 as tuition fees. There will be an enhancement of 10% for Class XI and XII.

The candidate has no restriction, whatsoever, in availing the concessions provided by the school she is studying in, while enjoying the scholarship. The scholarship shall be renewed for a period of one year on successful completion of Class XI. However, the renewal shall depend on the marks secured by the student, wherein she has to secure 50% or more marks in aggregate in the examination that determines her promotion to the next class.

Good conduct and attendance are some of the other factors required for the continuance of the program.
