Hurriyat terror funding: NIA will put an end to it soon

If one looks at the manner in which the probe is shaping out, it is clear that the NIA will reach out to the big guns.

The National Investigation Agency is working at a break neck speed to ensure that the investigation and trial in the Hurriyat terror funding case is completed at its earliest. There have been a host of cases filed against the separatists in the past as well.

Cases relating to funding have been filed in the past against Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq among others and the NIA is analysing all of that before it files a chargesheet. The NIA is investigating several cases in which it has been alleged that the separatists received funds from various countries to sponsor both terror and unrest in the Valley.

The NIA has been given a free hand in these cases. The centre has told the NIA that there will be no political compulsion while investigating these cases. The NIA however says that the 2017 case is the strongest and it has been probed in multiple angles.

If one looks at the manner in which the probe is shaping out, it is clear that the NIA will reach out to the big guns. The funding has to completely stop said an NIA official. Since the probe has begun the funding has stopped to a great extent and the fact that violence has come down is proof of the same said an NIA official.
