Hundreds Of RJD Workers Led By Tejashwi Yadav Stage Massive Protest In Patna, Demand 65% Reservation
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supporters, led by Tejashwi Yadav, are staging a protest in Patna over demand for a 65% reservation in government jobs. This demonstration is taking place outside the RJD office as Bihar gears up for its Assembly elections. The political climate is charged with activity and anticipation.
Tejashwi Yadav has been vocal against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Nitish Kumar's government. He accuses them of hindering the reservation process for backward communities. A poster released by the RJD questions both the BJP and Nitish Kumar's administration on this issue.

Reservation Controversy
The protest site features a poster with images of Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rabri Devi, Tejaswi Yadav, and Misa Bharti. However, Tej Pratap Yadav's absence from this poster has raised eyebrows. During the protest, Tejashwi Yadav criticised the BJP government. He stated that they are "anti-reservation" and "anti-constitution," labelling them as "reservation thieves."
Tejashwi Yadav further claimed that stopping the 65% reservation limit has adversely affected students from backward classes. He shared on X that this halt has resulted in a 16% reservation loss for these students. Consequently, over 50,000 youths have lost job opportunities.
Impact on Employment
The RJD leader highlighted that many candidates from scheduled castes and tribes have been affected. The non-implementation of reservations in teacher recruitment phases has led to job losses among these communities. This situation has intensified their demand for immediate action.
The RJD also shared a tweet from the protest site on X, expressing their stance against any tampering with reservations for Dalits and backward classes. They emphasised that such actions would not be tolerated by the Bahujan Samaj.
