Human Sacrifice: Class 2 Student Strangled To Death In UP's Hathras To Bring 'Prosperity' To School

In a tragic incident in Uttar Pradesh's Hathras, a Class 2 student was murdered, allegedly as part of a black magic ritual intended to bring wealth and success to the school.

Three suspects reportedly strangled the boy in his hostel room on September 22. The school's owner, whose father was allegedly involved in occult practices, is suspected of orchestrating the 'human sacrifice.'

According to the police, the ritual was originally planned for September 6, but the boy thwarted the attempt by raising an alarm. Despite efforts to strangle him at the time, he survived, and a medical examination later confirmed evidence of attempted strangulation, reported India Today.

On September 22, the accused tried to carry out the ritual again. They intended to sacrifice the boy near a tube well located behind the school, but when the child woke up while being moved, the suspects panicked and strangled him inside the school premises instead.

During the investigation, the police found items related to black magic near the tube well, further suggesting occult activity. Authorities believe the crime was driven by superstition, as the school's financial troubles were seen by the accused as solvable through human sacrifice.

The victim's father recounted the devastating moment he learned of his son's fate, saying, "I received a call from my son's school saying, 'Your child's condition is very serious. Please come immediately.' While I was on my way, they called again and said, 'The child's condition has worsened, and we are taking him to Sadabad.' We followed them towards Agra, but they didn't stop the car. When we returned, we caught up with them in Sadabad, where we found the child's body in their car."

Hathras Superintendent of Police, Nipun Aggarwal, confirmed that five individuals had been arrested in connection with the case. "We have arrested five people," Aggarwal said.

"The child was strangled with the intent to bring prosperity to the school and secure its future."
