Huge victory for students! SC cancels 2015 AIPMT, directs CBSE to re-conduct exams in 4 weeks
New Delhi, June 15: In what could be termed as a huge victory for lakhs of students, the Supreme Court on Monday canceled the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) which was marred by paper leak.
The apex court has also directed the Central Board of Secondary Education to conduct fresh entrance exams within four weeks and appealed to all the institutions linked with the CBSE to cooperate in this regard.

"The apex court allowed our petition with direction of re conduction of exam. This is a huge victory for the students," the lawyer pursuing the matter was quoted by ANI as saying.
Announcement of results of the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT), which was marred by paper leak, was put off till June 10 by SC, prolonging the anxiety of over 6 lakh students on whether the exam would be held afresh.

Final hearing on the matter on June 10 was posted to June 15, today.
The apex court had earlier granted one more week to Haryana police to file a fresh report indicating the number of beneficiaries of the alleged irregularities in the pre-medical examination.
The CBSE was to declare the results of the AIPMT, taken by over six lakh students across the country, on June 5, which was stayed by the SC on June 3.
