The area has been cleared and the BDS has placed the bomb in a cylinder for a controlled explosion. The cylinder in which the bomb was found was taken to an isolated spot to defuse it.

It is believed that the bomb cylinder was transported from Secunderabad. Passengers alerted the railway officials when they saw two abandoned bags in the general compartment of the train.
