The Delhi Police has launched the G20 Virtual Help Desk for real-time traffic updates in the national capital in view of the G20 Summit.

Stringent traffic regulations have been put in place in the New Delhi district on Friday as the global leaders start arriving in the national capital to attend the two-day G20 Summit.

On X (formerly Twitter), Delhi Traffic Police said that it has introduced the G-20 Virtual Help Desk for real-time traffic updates during the G20 Summit which will be suggesting routes for commuting from/to Airport, Railway Stations, ISBTs etc.

  • People can get information related to traffic, road closures, alternative routes, traffic advisories, metro services, and airport and railway services.
  • "As world leaders gather to address global challenges, our website will provide you with traffic information, road closures, alternative routes, and travel advisories to help you navigate the city efficiently and avoid potential delays. Stay informed and plan your journeys with confidence using our interactive maps and detailed resources on essential services as well as sights to see around Delhi," the Delhi Traffic Police said in its website.
  • People can also find telephone directories, essential maps and information related to medical facilities.
  • Interestingly, the website can be viewed in most of the international languages as well as in the official languages of India.
  • The New Delhi district has been designated as Controlled Zone-I from Friday 5 am till Sunday 11.59 pm because of the summit. Police have urged people not to visit India Gate and Kartavya Path for walking, cycling or picnicking.
  • Movement of vehicles is being regulated in the New Delhi district but ambulances, locals and tourists staying in the area will be permitted to travel by presenting proper identification papers, police said.
