How to Check Name In Bihar Voter List: Step-by-Step Guide To Cross-Verify Name In Election Commission's List

Political temperature in Bihar is rising day by day over the Election Commission of India's controversial decision to update the voters' list. Opposition parties in Bihar like RJD, Congress, and others, have opposed the decision to conduct such an important exercise in only a few days.

The raised concerns and problems that voters and migrant voters may face. To register protest against Special Intensive Revision (SIR), a complete Bharat band was called out today-led by senior leader Rahul Gandhi and Tejaswi Yadav. Several trains, buses were halted, and shops and markets were closed following the protest.

Prior to this, on 7 July, the Supreme Court dismissed a petition filed against this revision.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has uploaded a voter list from 2003 carrying 49 million voters' names.

• 1. Visit NVSP Portal @ https://www.nvsp.in.
• 3. On the home page, click on link that reads 'Search in Electoral Roll'.
• 4. Or go directly to https://electoralsearch.eci.gov.in.
• 5. Search your name by name, age, and district.
• 6. Or You can search by EPIC Number (Voter ID number)
• 7. If your name is on the voter list, complete information will be displayed on the screen, such as booth name, serial number, EPIC number, etc.

Option 2: Using the Voter Helpline Mobile App

• 1. Download Election Commission of India's official mobile application.
• 2. Select the 'Search your name in Electoral Roll' option.
• 3. Search your name or put EPIC number
• 4. The information will be available immediately.

Check via SMS

2. Send it to this number: 7738299899

Add Your Name Using Form 6

If your name is not on the Bihar Voter List, it may have been removed or incorrectly entered. You can then add your name again by filling out Form 6, available on the NVSP website or app.
