How safe is your check-in luggage? Manipur CM's video exposes airline staff

Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Monday raised a serious issue about the safety of passengers' check-in luggage inside the aircraft.

N Biren Singh took to twitter and shared a video in which some airport staff was seen opening the bag and checking the belongings.

However, it was not immediately known at which airport the video had been shot but a New York Post article reported that this happened in Thailand, in the luggage compartment of a Jetstar flight.

Once the video went viral, the airline took cognizance of the matter and initiated an investigation into it.

The crew member was identified as 27-year-old Abdullah Hayee Mayeh, who was arrested from the Phuket International Airport.
