How Left-Liberals are attacking Malayalam actor Suresh Gopi over his remarks on 'non-believers'
"While loving my Gods, I will love all the believers in the world at the same time, I will boldly say that I have no love for non-believers," Gopi said.
The Left-liberals and so-called secularists are upset with Malayalam actor and former BJP Rajya Sabha MP Suresh Gopi over his recent comments against 'non-believers'.
What the Malayalam actor-politician said?
Addressing a gathering at a temple function in Ernakulam on the occasion of Sivarathri celebrations, Gopi had said he would pray to God for the complete destruction of the non-believers and urged everyone to do the same.

He also went on to say that none of the non-believers should have a happy and peaceful life in this world. "While loving my Gods, I will love all the believers in the world at the same time, I will boldly say that I have no love for non-believers. I will not tolerate any power that tries to endanger the rights of the believers and I would pray in front of the sanctum sanctorum for their complete destruction. All should do that.
Our devotion is not to harm anyone. But those who try to disrespect our devotion, our devotional institution or our way of devotion, not even one of them should lead a happy life in this world and end here," he had said.
The actor-politician's speech is now being widely criticised with many deploring his remarks on social media.
The Reactions for his Comments
His comments did not go well with the Leftists and anti-BJP brigade. "He spewed such venom even before. While campaigning for election in Kazhakoottam, he openly challenged voters not to set foot in his MP office for any help if they fail to bring BJP to power. Such an open disrespect for the chair he was holding, [sic]" a user slammed the actor on Twitter.
Another user said, "There is no good sanghi and bad sanghi....all are hatred mongers one way or other. [sic]" A netizen added, "Wow, gutter level thinking!"
A Twitter user added, "He reiterated my belief that no sanghi can be a good human being!"
"To all those hate preaching supporters of Suresh Gopi, it's your freedom to endorse what he does, but ask him to tell the same while campaigning for election. Let him openly declare he doesn't need votes of non-believers. #Sureshgopi, [sic]" another netizen added.
The beliefs of Hindus are constantly questioned and attacked in India. One fine example is Sabari Mala issue.
The secularists and left-Liberal, who are forefront when it comes to attacking Hindus' beliefs, remain mute spectators to the atrocities carried out by other religions. However, in this case, Gopi did not slam any religion, but those so-called secularists, leading them to attack him over the latest issue.
