Honda Cars recalls 190,578 vehicles
Chennai, July 14: Car maker Honda Cars India Ltd on Thursday announced recall of 190,578 vehicles comprising of Accord, CR-V,Civic, City and Jazz to replace their passenger side front airbag inflators.
In a statement Honda Cars said it will voluntarily replace passenger front airbag inflators of 190,578 vehicles of prevous generation of Accord (2003-2011 - 22,483 vehicles), CR-V (2009-2011- 1,514 vehicles), Civic (2007-2 vehicles, 2009-2011 -13,603 vehicles), City (2008-2011 - 137,270 vehicles) and Jazz (2009-2011 - 15,706 vehicles) as part of Honda's precautionary global recall campaign.

The replacement will be carried out free of cost at Honda Cars India dealerships across India in a phased manner.
"While the campaign for CR-V and Civic will begin immediately, the replacement of inflators for other affected models would begin from September 2016, and the company will communicate with customers directly," the statement said.
