Holi 2024: 6 Injured in Stampede At Mathura's Shreeji Temple In Uttar Pradesh
More than 6 people were injured after a stampede broke out during a pre-Holi celebration on Sunday at Mathura's famous Shreeji Temple in Uttar Pradesh, according to the reports. Taking cognizance of the incident that reportedly took place at around 1:15 pm, security deputed at the temple called emergency services to control the situation. The police said a massive footfall was recorded on the occasion of Laddoo Holi and the crowd went out of control resulting in a stampede.
The CCTV footage from the temple showed a massive crowd lined up and pushing each other with no space left to move. The footage showed security forces pulling and rescuing people who fell on the ground during the chaotic situation.

The reports said many people lost consciousness due to the uncontrolled crowd and the security personnel transported them to nearby hospitals. The hospital staff reported that 2 people were in serious condition among those who were injured in the stampede.
