Police storm Rampal's Ashram, get surprised!

Hisar, Nov 19: Police stormed 63-year old Godman Rampal's Satlok Ashram in Hisar, Haryana and was in for a surprise. They did not find Rampal! The Godman is wanted for a murder case and has been evading court for the past few months over the same.

Incidentally, the man used women and children to shield himself for the past week. His supporters too seemed to have join hands in protecting him from the police. However, recently his supporters have started trickling out from his sprawling campus claiming that they had been forced to stay inside the ashram and made to form a human shield.

Moreover, the police was showered with acid pouches, sticks and stones. Petrol bombs were also thrown at them. However, a greater concern was that the Ashram was built like a maze, which were laced with deadly traps

The 11-day stand off ended in a massive and brutal attack on the supporters who formed a human shield. Police was forced to use teargas, batons, water cannons, and bulldozers to try and disperse the supporters. Close to 2000 people, including women and infants were sitting outside the ashram as a human wall, said Haryana police chief SN Vashishth.

Meanwhile, police too blew up the situation by hitting media persons with sticks and lathis, instead of attacking the supporters who were open firing at the police. Cameras and microphones were snatched and their clothes were torn.

Recent television updates report that a woman and a child died in Hisar Hospital due to lack of adequate medical facilities.
