Himachal Pradesh elections: Over 2 lakh liters of liquor seized
Web-casting would be used in 2,307 polling stations in the state for live monitoring of polling activities in the state by ECI and polling would be held from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm, the CEO said.
Ahead of assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, over Rs 1.3 crore cash and more than 2,35,000 litres of liquor were seized.
Himachal Pradesh CEC and ADGP in a joint press conference told reporters about the steps taken to ensure free and transparent elections.
Pushpinder Rajput, Chief Electoral Officer, said, " We want electoral process to be free, fair, transparent and inclusive."

ADGP (law and order) Atul Verma, said, " All arrangements made with regard to EVM storage, transportation, strong room. Three tier security to be in place."
As many as 7,525 polling booths have been set up in the state and 37,605 polling personnel have been deputed for poll duty.
For free and fair polls and 29 general, three police, 22 Expenditure Observers and 71 Assistant Expenditure Observers, 1,561 Micro Observers, besides, 193 Sector Magistrate and 789 Sectors officers have also been deployed throughout the state.
