The ruling Congress members accused the Central government of discrimination against Himachal during the monsoon disaster, while the BJP members alleged false announcements in the budget.

Criticism of Central Government

Revenue Minister Jagat Singh Negi criticized the Union government for alleged discrimination against non-BJP-ruled states. He pointed to the protests by public representatives from Kerala and Karnataka at Jantar Mantar in Delhi as evidence of this discrimination. Negi expressed concern that Himachal Pradesh may also be forced to take similar action to secure its rights.

Appreciation and Demands

During the discussion, BJP member Satpal Singh Satti commended Himachal minister Vikramaditya Singh for participating in the Pran Pratistha ceremony at the Ram temple in Ayodhya. He also praised former chief minister Virbhadra Singh for introducing the anti-conversion law. Concerns Over Liquor Revenue and Kangra Airport

Independent member Hoshiyar Singh objected to raising revenue through liquor sales and advocated for stringent measures to recover money lost due to cryptocurrency. BJP's Pawan Kajal highlighted inadequate compensation for people displaced due to the expansion of Kangra Airport, stating that the amount was insufficient for purchasing suitable land. Kajal also criticized the false guarantees of the ruling party, which led to his shift from the Congress to the BJP.

Kangra's Development as a Tourism Capital

Raghuvir Singh Bali from the Congress highlighted various initiatives undertaken to develop Kangra as the state's tourism capital. He mentioned the government's efforts in constructing heliports to enhance connectivity.

Accusations of Discrimination During Disaster

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu's commitment to making the state self-reliant sets the stage for decisive action and positive transformation. Despite potential challenges, the government's focus on economic revitalization, employee welfare, and addressing public concerns demonstrates its dedication to the state's progress and prosperity.
