Himachal MP allocates all discretionary fund
Shimla, Aug 25: An MP from Himachal Pradesh on Thursday (Aug 15) said he had allocated and utilised all his parliamentary discretionary fund in the Shimla constituency in barely two years.
A total of Rs 10 crore was spent on around 350 panchayats in 500 social and economic development schemes under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development (MPLAD) scheme, BJP MP Virender Kashyap said in a statement.

He said sanction letters for executing 150 social and economic development schemes in 120 Panchayati Raj Institutions have been issued in Solan, Shimla and Sirmaur districts.
Under the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojna, Kashyap said Rs 22 lakh has been spent in Kasauli tehsil for constructing link roads in 16 villages in Jagjit Nagar panchayat.
