Here's How Rahul Gandhi Pokes Fun At Nitish Kumar

A day after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar took oath for the record ninth time with the support of BJP, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi comes out all guns blazing at the Janata Dal United (JDU) supremo. Talking to the media at the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Rahul Gandhi said "We don't require Nitish Kumar, a little pressure is exerted and he makes a U-turn."

Nitish Kumar's departure will surely affect the INDIA bloc, which was eyeing to dethrone PM Narendra Modi in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections 2024. According to the reports, Nitish Kumar was unhappy with Rahul Gandhi's interference while choosing a coordinator for the Opposition's alliance. At that time, Rahul Gandhi had said that before taking any decision let us discuss with Mamata Banerjee first.

Furious with the call, Nitish Kumar had left the meeting within 10 minutes after joining it. However, the alliance named Malliakrjun Kharge as their convenor soon after Bihar CM rejected it. Reports underlined this as the main reason behind the JDU chief changing his mind and switching sides.

Rahul Gandhi also mocked Bihar CM saying he returned to the Raj Bhavan as he forgot his shawl shortly after the oath ceremony.

"The Governor was very surprised. 'What Nitish-ji you are back so soon?' said Rahul Gandhi amid everyone laughing their lungs out. "Nitish ji is like that. A bit of pressure and he caves in," Congress MP added.

"The 'Mahagathbandhan' (grand alliance) will fight for social justice in Bihar; we don't require Nitish Kumar for that purpose We don't require him at all," Rahul Gandhi added.
