Here's a list of rail mishaps across India since 2016
Listed below are the train accidents that have occurred all over India in 2016 till present.
Eight coaches of Mahakoshal Express have derailed near Kulpahar in Uttar Pradesh. The accident site is 270 kilometres away from the Lucknow the capital of Uttar Pradesh.
Here is the list of series of train accidents that have occurred all over India in 2016 till present:

5 February 2016: Kanyakumari-Banglore Island Express
The 4 coaches of Kanyakumari-Bangalore City Express was derailed at 4:15 am near Vellore. More than 40 people were injured. However, No casualities were reported.
1 May 2016: Delhi Faizadaba Express
Seven coaches of Faizabad Delhi Express was derailed near Hapur in Uttar Pradesh. However, no casualities were reported.
6 May 2016: Chennai Central- Thiruvananthpuram Central Superfast
Seven people were injured during a side collision between the Chennai Central and Thiruvananthapuram Central Superfast Express and a suburban train near Pattabiram.
19 May 2016: Kanyakumari Dibrugarh Express
Kanyakumari-Dibrugrah Vivek Express derailed near Nagercoil due to landslip caused by heavy rain. No casualities were reported.
28 August 2016: Thiruvananthpuram-Mangalore Express
12 coaches of Train number 16347 Thiruvananthapuram Central - Mangalore Central Express derailed near Karukutty Station, Angamali around 2:20 am. No casualties.
29 September 2016: Bhuvneshawar-Bhadrak Passenger Train
Two passengers were killed and around 30 people were injured in a collision between Bhuvneshawar-Bhadrak Passenger Train.
4 October 2016: Jannu Tawi-Pune Jhelum Express
Three passenger were injured as 10 coaches of Jannu Tawi-Pune Jhelum Express derailed near Satluj river in Jalandhar district at 3:10 am.
20 November 2016: Patna Indore Express
14 coaches of the Indore-Rajendra Nagar Express 19321 derailed at Pukhrayan, approximately 60 kilometers from Kanpur. At least 150 deaths and 260 injuries have been reported in Pukhrayan train accident.
6 December: Capital Express
Two people were killed when two coaches of Guwahati-bound capital express derailed near Shamuktala junction.
28 December 2016: Ajmer-Sealdah Express derailed
15 coaches of the Ajmer-Sealdah Express derailed near the Rura railway station while crossing a bridge, resulting in 44 injuries.
21 January 2017: Kuneru train derailed
In the Kuneru train derailment the Hirakhand express 18448, a scheduled passenger train from Jagdalpur to Bhubaneswar, derailed near Kuneru, Vizianagaram, resulting in 41 deaths and 68 injuries among the ~600 passengers on board.
